Madison

Reviews are listed in order: road rides (all paved), then HICK rides (some gravel, maybe stream crossings), and then hike/other. Rides are listed in order of increasing distances. Road ride mileages should be accurate to within a few tenths of a mile; feet of climbing should be within a couple of hundred feet or better. HICK and hiking stats will be less accurate due to poor satellite signals in those conditions (tree canopy, close canyon walls, etc.). Navigation links are to routes I’ve plotted or actual rides and hikes I’ve done. I no longer list commerce; the rural economy is volatile and it’s hard to say what’s available at any given time. HICK is Historic Indiana Countryside on Knobbies and is a trademark of R Ries Corporation. For more information on Madison, visit the convention and visitors’ bureau website.
